BEST OKODUWA PARTNERS WITH AGEGE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, EDUCATION DISTRICT1 AND OTHERS TO SENSITIZE AGEGE TEENAGERS TO CRIME

Best Okoduwa, an award-wining filmmaker and Convener of Project Early Start (PES);
A crime prevention Initiative in Africa, collaborates with Agege Local Government, Education
district1 and some young Nigerian professionals for the 2019 edition of the initiative.

Project Early Start tours secondary schools across Nigeria, sensitizing teenagers on ways to avoid
being involved in crime/violence in their communities. Albeit, promoting positive peer to peer
pressure and influence. PES leverages the influence of the entertainment industry (celebrities)

to reach her targeted demography.

Partnering celebrities submit personalized video message (recordings) dissuading the students

(teenagers) from crime and violence.
At the end of the school session (year), PES identifies teenagers with passion/ambition. But,

whose parents can't afford them university education or quality apprenticeship. These selected

teenagers are enrolled in our free vocational training tailored to their interest or career goal.
PES also has a mentorship program to support these teenagers academically and on c

raftsmanship.

Best Okoduwa insists that combating crime, violence, and corruption in Nigeria today has been

a tough dilemma, we are struggling with. Thus, we shouldn’t wait until we have to commit a huge
economy and human resources TOMORROW in the quest to combat it!
The three public schools under Education district (DAIRY FARM SECONDARY SCHOOL,
SANNGO SECONDARY SCHOOL and ABIBAT MOGAJI MILLENIUM SECONDARY SCHOOL)
all in Agege have been chosen to benefit from this year’s program.

Project Early Start (PES) kicked off on the 1st of March 2019 with a crime sensitization Symposium in both Dairy Farm secondary School and Sanngo Secondary School with the other programs for the schools scheduled for subsequent weeks to come
