WHAT YOUR BLOG SHOULD LOOK LIKE

Often times when someone asks me for my blog link and they visit, the first thing they say is "your blog looks good". They way your blog is looking is very important as it is a form of PR and it will also determine how long your readers and new visitors will stay on your blog. I have been guilty of some of these things in the past but now my mission is to help you avoid the trial and error phase and just be a pro from day 1(winks)

To have your blog looking fabulous like you made extra effort, here are some of the things  you need to infuse into your blog and You will be proud to share your link

CLEAN FRESH LAYOUT

This is the most important factor when it comes to what your blog should look like. Its a fair thing to want to express your creativity by incorporating different colours in your blog but its also important to understand the you want to reach a wide audience. One mistake you shouldn't make is put light text over dark background, its just isn't pretty.

MAKE IT EASY TO NAVIGATE

 As a blogger with niche( I have a post here on how to find your niche) ,you probably have categories on your blog and  you want your readers to spend time reading through this categories/sections on your blog. If your categories are not clearly stated our or your readers can navigate through your blog easily then there is a problem.Take out time to make sure everything is rightly placed and easy to navigate.

USE QUALITY PICTURES

Pictures/graphics are very important if you want to have a very good looking blog. Photography for your blog doesn't have to be expensive you can use your mobile phone. I have a post coming up soon on how to make the best use of your phone camera for blogging. While that is in progress, make sure your blog pictures are clean and fresh.

EASY TO READ TEXT/FONT

When designing your blog its easy to choose different fonts for different sections of your blog. One can easily go overboard with all the gorgeous fonts around but when you are trying to pick a font make sure it is something your readers can read easily. Fonts with too much character or designs can easily distract the readers and make them loose focus.

Also, make sure your font size isn't too small

VISIBLE SOCIAL MEDIA BUTTONS

Social media buttons have a special thing they add to the look of your blog.Also if you have amazing content, chances that your readers would want to connect with you is high. So my dear friend/fellow blogger, I recommend you have social media buttons at strategic places like your side bar and also below each blog post for easy sharing of your content.
