We all know that the industry presents to us numerous kinds of cleaning products, however, many of them are based on chemicals and could have a harmful effect on people. So here are some home cleaning solutions that will help you maintain your home safely cleaned. We are even taking things a level higher by introducing to you homemade solutions.

Glass and  Mirror Cleaner
To make this cleaning solution you will need 3 ingredients: distilled water, ½ cup rubbing/isopropyl alcohol (you can also use vodka) and 1/3 cup white distilled vinegar. Take an empty spray bottle of 500 ml and combine the vinegar with the alcohol in it, then add water until the bottle is full. You can use a funnel if needed. Spray the solution on glass or mirror surfaces and then wipe it with a microfiber cloth. If vinegar odor isn’t your favorite, you can use a few drops of any essential oil to mask the vinegar. The mixture can be stored in a room temperature.

Battling with stains
You will need 60 ml of liquid vegetable glycerin, ¼ liquid castile soap, use about 10 drops of essential oil (preferably lemon oil) and 1 ½ cup of water. Add each ingredient to a glass spray bottle and shake well before every use. The better way to use this efficient cleaning solution is to apply it directly to the stain before it dries using your fingertips and let it soak for some time before you put it in the washing machine. You can also leave the piece of clothing soaked with the solution overnight, it will not harm the fabric or its color.

Disinfectant
Mix 3 tablespoons of liquid soap in 2 cups of water and add 25-30 drops of tea tree oil to them and you will be no longer requiring the service of bleach.

Air Freshener
For the making of this cleaning solution you need about a tablespoon of alcohol, 15-20 drops of essential oil (lavender, rosemary, tea tree, grapefruit, etc.), distilled water and a dark glass spray container (50-100 ml). Mix the ingredients and you can use the solution as a surface spray or a spray mist. In the first case you should wipe the surface after spraying it.

Laundry Detergent
Ingredients: ¼ cup coarse salt, 1 cup washing soda, ½ cup citric acid, 1 cup washing soda and 1 bar unscented glycerin soap. Grate the soap finely, then combine it with the other ingredients and mix them completely. Store in an airtight jar or bottle and add desiccant to it to prevent the formation of lumps. With each washing add 1-2 tablespoons of the cleaning detergent and you will be safe and clean.

Cleaning Your Cutting Board
Sprinkle a little bit of Kosher or coarse salt over the board and then rub it with one half of a lemon. Let it sit for several minutes and then rinse the board with water.

Cleaning Your Microwave
Mix a little bit of lemon juice in a little cup filled with vinegar and put the cup in the microwave. Set the microwave for 2 minutes and after that leave its door closed for a couple of minutes. After opening the door use a warm cloth or a sponge to wipe down the surface inside and the oven is ready to be made dirty again.

Countertops Cleaner
Combine vinegar or alcohol with water in a spray bottle. Use the mixture with alcohol for cleaning the kitchen countertops made from granite, stone or marble, because vinegar has a negative effect on this types of surfaces
